The Curriculum Overview
Five Capabilities and Two Concerns
Being able to recognize and address the thinking, behaviors and choices that limit your leadership, personal success and happiness. Discovering how to shift to more resourceful and productive options; ones that generate new possibilities and outcomes. Identifying what motivates you, while getting free of your own de-motivating thinking and behavior.
Being able to observe and define team and company-wide dynamics and patterns. Learning to shift team dynamics that limit success to interactions that generate collaboration, motivation and innovation. Relating to others in a productive way that forwards extraordinary results. Creating alignment, cooperation and success.
Being able to create a two-way flow of communication that fosters shared understanding and mutual respect. The ability to work effectively with differing opinions and perspectives toward creative resolution and organizational alignment. Are we asking the right questions and are we talking to the right people? Are we having the right conversations in the organization?
Listening in a way that opens communication and allows you to understand and speak into the reality of another so they can hear you. Identifying and getting free of listening filters, defenses and blocks. Creating a “Listening Organization,” one that can listen in all directions and fully hear its leaders, employees, customers and stakeholders, all contributing to its own organizational intelligence.
Being aware of different emotions and attitudes as they arise and being able to generate positive states. Successfully managing one’s own feelings and moods and persist in the face of daily frustrations and setbacks. Generating a perspective of optimism and possibility, remaining positive in the face of change. Emotional intelligence is a key factor in an individual’s ability to succeed. An organization of emotionally intelligent leadership and people leads to greater organizational intelligence.
Doing things with a concern for inclusion. Who needs to be included, in what ways and at what point in this decision, project and/or action? Whose contribution is important? Who will move things forward? Who will this effect? What unintentional consequences could result from not including certain individuals? How will inclusion create organizational alignment?
Doing things with a concern for personal and organizational integrity. Are we making decisions and acting in ways that are consistent with our values and who we say we are as a company?

Breakthrough Thinking :
Level One: The creative power of thought
What becomes possible in your life and in your business when you no longer follow your stressful, limiting thoughts? In this class we explore the nature of how and why we think the way we do. We introduce tools for self-inquiry and methods for shifting from habitual thinking to productive, creative states of mind.
Level Two: Generating extraordinary results
Most people have spent their entire lives trying to change the world, their circumstances, and other people so they can be happy. This hasn’t ever worked, because it approaches the problem backward. Susan shows us that most of the problems in our lives originate where we least expect to find it: inside ourselves. She gives us the tools to transform our thinking and change our results. Through this process we discover the true source of change. Instead of focusing just on learning something new, you will also be unlearning the fearful beliefs that limit you and limit what is possible for you. Once your limiting beliefs have been met with understanding they fall away and you experience yourself and your life without your stressful and limiting mental stories. This gives rise to new perspectives and understanding of the situations in our work and in our lives. We use real situations and events to identify faulty thinking and invent effective solutions that generate desired results.
Level Three: Creating the Future… Now!
In this class you will generate a vision for the future and learn how to “fold the future back into the present moment.” By becoming an “ambassador” of the future you wish to create, you learn to act and make decisions that are consistent with where you are going, rather than just a continuation of the past or a mere “improvement” of the present.Back to Top >
Emotional Intelligence :
Level One: Basic Emotional Smarts:
How to deal with our own emotions and reactions is something that we never learned in school. As a result, most adults struggle with their own difficult or unpleasant feelings. By learning how to meet and manage our basic emotions, we become more intelligent, balanced individuals, capable of higher quality relationships. We are able to respond appropriately to challenging situations and people, rebound from setbacks and effectively manage uncomfortable feelings.
Level Two: Getting free of reactivity.
By getting to the source of our reactive feelings, we are able to get free of the problematic results that fall out of reactive behavior and communication. We find that we are able to make rational, intelligent choices guided by the inclusion of healthy feelings and instincts. We can engage both head and heart for making intelligent choices.
Level Three: Emotionally intelligent leadership
For people who are interested in developing their leadership capabilities, understanding and relating to other people emotional states is central to being able to manage and inspire others. In this class you will learn how to interact with others in ways that generates healthy feelings and responses.Back to Top >

In this course you will discover truth telling skills that allow you to skillfully communicate the honest expression of your true thoughts and feelings in ways that others can receive them, and that allows you to get what you really want without generating resistance.
Level Two: Conflict Resolution
Learn how to speak and listen in ways that invites real dialogue. Learn how to use conflicts as a way of moving toward creative resolution and strengthening relationships.
Level Three: Successful Relationships
Create states of mind that allow you to view and interact with people in more productive ways. As you do this, you begin to see a true understanding of others which allows you to work with them in much more effective ways. Often the source of our issues with others lies in our own misinterpretations and projections. As we move beyond these problematic perceptions we are able to assess others more accurately and make effective choices in our relationships. Learn how to handle the people that are most challenging for you.Back to Top >
Conscious Leadership :
Conscious leadership is about doing business in a conscious, resourceful and sustainable way. Are you working in a way that adds life to you or is it sucking the life out of you? Mastery of leadership begins with mastery of self, at a mental level, at the level of personal integrity and at an emotional level. At a spiritual level it is seeing yourself as part of something larger than just yourself. This could be your company, your family, your community, or the world. It is about transforming oneself as a prelude to transforming your business, the culture of your company and the quality of other people’s lives. It is about seeing work as a path of personal evolution and a means of living your life’s purpose.Back to Top >
